Get ready for ABA 2 Thursday

All 6 games of Round 14 will be played on Thursday, January 3.

It will all start with the big derby between MZT Skopje Aerodrom (9-4) and Sixt Primorska (12-1). It’s the clash between the two best placed team on the standings! MZT Skopje Aerodrom have won all 6 home games so far in the championship, while Sixt Primorska have suffered just 1 single defeat in the entire season. That promises a true basketball spectacle in Skopje.

Then we move to Domžale where Helios Suns (5-8) will host Borac (6-7). Helios Suns are playing pretty good at home court, where they have the overall score of 4-2, while Borac have so far scored just 1 single away win. However, the visitors are now stronger for former Partizan NIS player Strahinja Gavrilović and their goal is to reach the Playoffs in the remaining 9 rounds.

The clash between Sutjeska (7-6) and Zrinjski (5-8), should be very, very interesting, simply because both sides are in outstanding rhythm. Sutjeska are in a 3-win run in ABA 2 and they are just outside the Playoffs zone, while Zrinjski have won 4 out of the previous 5 games in the season and they still believe that they can get among the top 4 teams on the standings.

The next match is the one between Rogaška (4-9) and Split (7-6). Rogaška are passing through a difficult period, as they have lost 4 previous games in the league. At the same time, Split have lost 3 of the last 5 games and they dropped out of the Playoffs zone. Therefore, both sides will be trying to get back on the winning path on Thursday evening.

With two wins in a row, Dynamic VIP PAY (6-7) have joined the race for the Playoffs, while this week they will have a nice chance to extend that winning streak as they are playing at home against the last placed team in the league – Vršac (1-12). But, check this out – the only win Vršac have scored in the ongoing season was against none other than Dynamic VIP PAY!

The last game of the day will be a special one. Spars (8-5) are hosting Lovćen 1947 (8-5) in Sarajevo and this match may decide many things in the race for the Playoffs. In the first part of the season Spars triumphed in Cetinje by 74:68, so if they win this match they will have 1 win more than Lovćen 1947 and a better head to head score. On the other side, the visitors will have the same advantage if they win this match by 6+ points…
