Battle for the Playoffs in Široki Brijeg
It’s time for Round 12 of the 2019/20 ABA League 2 regular season.

The second half of the 2019/20 ABA League 2 regular season begins this Wednesday evening with the games of Round 12. And, we have a big clash already in the opening match of the week, as Široki (6-5) are about to host Helios Suns (6-5). As you can see the two teams have the same overall score and they are currently just outside the Top 4 zone. Therefore, the upcoming game will be a direct battle for the Playoffs.
Two more games will be played on Wednesday evening.
Red-hot Rogaška (7-4) will host bottom placed team on the standings Spars Realway (1-10). The boys from Rogaška Slatina have scored 4 wins in the last 5 rounds and they have climbed up to the 3rd place on the standings. On the other side, Spars Realway have scored just one win so far in the championship.
Novi Pazar (4-7) are well-known for their fiery home-court atmosphere and they will try to use it in the upcoming clash against Sutjeska (6-4). The visitors have lost 4 out of their last 5 away games in the 2019/20 ABA 2 campaign.
The other three games of Round 12 are scheduled for Thursday evening.
Lovćen 1947 Bemax (5-6) will try to keep their perfect home-court record in the match against the top placed team on the standings – Borac (10-1). Lovćen 1947 Bemax have build up their confidence by defeating 2nd placed MZT Skopje Aerodrom last weekend, while Borac are on a 7-game winning streak in the ongoing ABA 2 season.
Dynamic VIP PAY (5-6) and Split (5-6) are about to face each other in Belgrade. They have the same overall score, so whoever wins the upcoming match will make a major step forward in the race for the Playoffs.
In the last match of the round, Sloboda (3-10) will host MZT Skopje Aerodrom (8-3). The boys from Tuzla have broken their losing streak after defeating Spars last weekend, so the atmosphere inside the locker room is much better than it used to be. On the other side, MZT Skopje Aerodrom will want to return on the winning track after losing the last-round match against Lovćen 1947 Bemax.
