ABA 2 is back in action – Derby time in Rogaška slatina
It’s time for another ABA 2 week.

After a short break due to national cups and FIBA Eurobasket Qualifiers window, ABA 2 is back in action! Round 20 will start on Wednesday evening, while we have several Playoffs battles scheduled for this week.
Everything will start in Nikšić, where Sutjeska (9-10) will host Helios Suns (9-10). As you can see, these two teams have the same overall score, while they are just a win away from the Playoffs zone. That is why this game is very, very important both for Sutjeska and Helios Suns.
In the other game scheduled for Wednesday evening, Sloboda (7-12) will host Lovćen 1947 Bemax (9-10). Both sides are in a pretty good form as each of them has scored 3 wins in the previous 4 rounds. Also, each of them will have big motive to win this match as Sloboda are trying to move away from the bottom of the table, while Lovćen 1947 Bemax are still chasing the Playoffs tickets.
The other four games of Round 20 will be played on Thursday evening.
In the opening game of the day Borac (17-2) will host Široki (11-8). Borac have already secured the 1st place in the regular season, so the upcoming match is not so important for them. On the other side, Široki will do everything they can to stun the leader on the road as they are still fighting for a place in the Playoffs.
The match of the round will be played in Rogaška Slatina, where Rogaška (10-9) will host Split (10-9). It is enough just to write that whoever wins this match will get inside the Playoffs zone, just two rounds before the end of the regular season. Split are in a much better form than Rogaška, as the Yellow crew have won 4 out of the last 5 games in the regular season. On the other side, Rogaška have won just 2 out of the last 5 games in the championship. It is also important to mention that Split defeated Rogaška in the 1st part of the season by 79:73.
Spars Realway (6-13) are facing Novi Pazar (7-12) in the clash of two teams who are trying to escape the last place on the standings. Spars Realway have won 4 out of the last 5 games in the ABA 2 championship, while they also won the national cup during the previous break. On the other side, Novi Pazar have won 2 out of the previous 5 games in the season.
In the last match of the round, MZT Skopje Aerodrom (12-7) will host Dynamic VIP PAY (7-12). MZT Skopje Aerodrom want to keep the 2nd place on the standings and if they win the remaining 3 games in the regular season they will fulfill their goal regardless of the other results. At the same time Dynamic VIP PAY want to break their 3-game losing streak as the Belgrade crew are trying to move away from the last place on the standings.
